Surprised that it was actually warm enough to bare my legs this long weekend and wear this skirt that I’ve been absolutely itching to style! I initially wasn’t sure what to pair it with, but I think tones of ivory and gold seem to complement it quite well.

The third instalment of my series of Tokyo photo diaries highlights another one of my favourite experiences in Japan: seeing sumo wrestlers battle it out at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. The event started at around 10am, however we arrived just after lunch time before seeing it through until roughly 6pm. The majority of the attendees were Japanese locals, so it was a great experience being able take part in something the locals are into (just like going to a footy game here in Australia, I’d say!). Bonus: I even got to high-five a sumo wrestler on the day – score!

Reliving my childhood and getting lost in the happiest place on Earth is something that I could definitely do more of on a more regular basis… that, and okonomiyaki.

ASOS State of Fashion

As winter draws nearer down under, I’ve been gradually preparing my wardrobe for the cooler seasons by adding a couple of new coats and jackets to my daily rotational rack, as well as stocking up on basics that can be layered upon for those days that are not quite cold enough for a coat but not warm enough to go without either.

When ASOS asked a few bloggers (including myself) to style our own look based on the type of winter we experience in each of our states (in my case, NSW), I opted for a look that I would wear on one of those said ‘in-between’ days. You may think I’m either very brave or very careless for baring my legs in winter but this is an outfit that I’d still probably wear on even chillier days – simply with added opaque tights!

Yes I know – it’s been a while since I was last here and as much as I’d love to post a whole lot more, work~~ing life~~ has once again gotten the better of me…

Some good news though – I’ll be flying out to Tokyo very soon (Thursday to be exact) for a much needed vacation. Although I doubt I’ll be able to get any real R&R time in, I am honestly just looking forward to getting my mind off work and spending the days (and nights) exploring a city that I have yet to have visited. My itinerary is already filling up fast, but I’d still love to hear any of your must-sees and recommendations to add to my list!

It’s become quite evident that I’ve recently had a thing for numbers; however not just numbers in general – but, numbers on t-shirts to be exact.

I picked up this tee from my local Topshop a few weeks ago and I must say that I’m pretty thrilled with it; mostly with the low price point (one of the beauties of Topshop) and surprisingly, the perfect boxy fit.If there’s one way I like my t-shirts, it’s gotta be the way of the three “B’s”: big, boxy and baggy.
